Know thine enemy.

From 'The Devil's Chaplain: Richard Dawkins on Christianity' by Albert Mohler, President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary:
Dawkins is the Charles Simonyi Professor of the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University. He is an unashamed evangelist for Darwinism, and is the media's favorite evolutionist. His books have sold by the thousands and his ideas have taken on a life of their own--pushed along by the currents of postmodern culture. (My emphasis, but whose irony?)

Comments:
Aiee! All right-thinking decent Baptist folk are under siege from this godless Boffin of Satan!

*And* he married that no-good strumpet who once appeared in that movie as a Servant of the Dark One Himself and bared her shoulder yea like unto a fornicator!

Damn him and "his" ideas!

I'm confused??? Are you ranting about Dawkins or Christ? You really need to be more speciific about which Boffin of Natas you're reffering to!

P.S I thought about typing Mr.Thomas rather than Christ, but why shouldn't I be allowed to add to the confusion of any right thinking Baptists that may stumble across this page.

P.S.S Please ignore the above if it should add any clarity to the above above.

And if I can hijack this thread for a moment (what kind of hijacker asks permission)? Do I have your email addresses correct Christ? I'm sending but not receiving.

(Insert sad, lonely face here)

A polite kind.

So, if you don't mind, I'd just like to say... something.

No! I seized control of this comments thread first! You infidels cannot wrest it from me!

And I was ranting about Baptists ranting about Dawkins ranting about Darwin, yeah?

And the 'strumpet' part was a veiled reference to Lalla once being in a dodgy Hammer vampire flick ('Vampire Circus', if i recall correctly).

Tea?
Toast?
Strumpet?

Rather!

She IS pretty cute.
*sigh*
And a slight tangent... if only the world would listen to me and understand that Helen Mirren is the perfect choice for the next Doctor Who, I might even be tempted to eat of the forbidden fruit of fanfic.

Here is the information i found when I googled Lalla and Richard-Dawkins. Understand I had to google, to see who you guys were saying was a cute strumpet.

I choose to believe it is my dreadful ability at names that has prevented me from clicking that Lalla = Romana, and not the fact that I was -/+ 1 when she (as Romana) was originally on the telly.

And for new (i.e. Not Old Enough) players, Lalla's original run on Doctow Who has just started screening on weekday evenings on the ABC. If you leave it until Wednesday, you won't have to watch the not-especially-wonderful The Armaggedon Factor, and can instead marvel as she debuts as Romana II in the not-especially-wonderful Something-or-other of the Daleks

This may not sound like the snappiest line from 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), but it evidently caught the imagination of John Landis, who has worked references to a mythical film of this name into most of his own movies - memorably as the grotty British skinflick watched by an assortment of lycanthropes and zombies in the climax of An American Werewolf in Paris [sic] (1981). Ghastly Beyond Belief, Neil Gaiman and Kim Newman
