Quickly, because I have to go (to China). We celebrated the
Eurovision Song Contest with great mocking and alcohol. Emma and her red fake snakeskin jumpsuit won the great heavy trophy on debut. Well done that girl.
Later in the week I went to see a very poor dance performance with Kate. The choreographer boldly claimed to have shunned all convention in creating the work. He certainly did away with the conventions of: being able to see the dancers on the set, not assaulting the audience with painful noise, and being worth the price of admission.
Also, I went to see
Minefields and Miniskirts at the Canberra Playhouse. It was extremely good and definately worth the price of admission. Two, even, as mum, who was meant to, couldn't go too because her back was playing up. (She went the following night with a friend, so she thought it was worth the price of two admissions also.)
On Thursday, Next Week For Sure won a soccer game which was unusual but not unheared of. It so happened to be a final so we were given some sports bags, pizza discounts and sports wear vouchers, which was nice.
Then I drove to Nerong. Tomorrow, Emma and I fly to Beijing.
