Last night Dave, Jimbo, Simon and I played
Primetime Adventures. It was fun and funny, quite a lot of self control was required to keep beverages out of noses. Our television show is called "The Last Prophecy" and we will be playing the pilot next week. Our protagonists are the new Department of Portents staff, replacing the corrupt civil servants who were exploiting the King's desire for prophetic advantage to fund their gravy train.
The head of the DoP is Konrad, a stoic Captain of the Guard who blew the whistle on the previous regime and was rewarded for his diligence with the thankless task of resurrecting the disreputable office. He is joined by Kurt von Stahk, a foppish aristocrat whose rising career has been maliciously sidetracked into the department by a conniving uncle; and Phoebe Avonova, a former cat burglar who was saved from the gallows by an amazing portent and has become a firm believer in the power of the Last Prophecy.
