Still more of the same.
2. Been mistaken for a local in Reykjavik.
This is harder then I remember. I can think of slightly uncommon events which coincided, but not much which qualifies itself as remarkably unlikely. Many of the uncommon events are merely being in a foreign country. For example people reading this may have skulled a pint of beer, some may have done it when they were fifteen, but not many would have done it in Prague. However I don't want a list of ten ordinary things I have done in exotic locations.
Now for something completely different.
If I have to think about it, I am happy. But people suspect otherwise; people whose judgement I trust. Maybe I am fooling myself. I suspect I am at least missing something, I hope it is not vital.

I think that the specifics has something to do with it. One of mine (will/would) be 'backpacked right around China on my own'.
Many people backpack.

I think Xtopher is on to a pretty good definition when he talks about "ordinary" things done in "exotic" locations. As he shows, the real test of the pint of beer story is Prague.
By (ab)using the Prague setting he could come up with any number of fairly ordinary things that would qualify simply because they happened in Prague. I think for the setting to qualify, it itself needs to be a little more unusual than Prague, which is a destination that I know at least one other person (possibly two. and I'd hazard a guess that you've been there too, which would make it three) who read his blog have been to.

However, I can honestly say I never sculled a whole pint of beer in one go, while sitting in a pub with my dad when I was 15. (Or any other age).

Xopher, maybe you need to tell more of the details that make the stories unique. Prague, I think, is the icing on the cake.

After considering your pov, I concur. Maybe there needs to be more to the story than ordinary event + exotic location.
